Mentor Walk College Immersion day was hosted at Agnes Scott College On Oct 25, 2013. This is an innovative initiative of C2P for college preparatory experience for middle and high school students (in this case girls) which inspires children to stay in school and experience a college campus with college students as near peer role models and mentors for the day.
This event was partnered with the United Nations 2nd annual celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child with a theme of “Innovating for Girls’ Education.” at ASC. One hundred and forty girls from schools including Drew Charter School, Freedom Middle School, the Fugees Academy, Global Village School and Renfroe Middle School participated with ASC student volunteers and faculty who spent the day encouraging girls to finish school and attend college.
